Denver to Pueblo Colorado

I can see Denver Airport  in the distance...the plane is getting ready to land. Once Im in the Airport and at the next gate I will phone Diana to let her know Im close ....just one more flight to catch...then home and dry. 

I have only a short time...like 20 minutes to get from one arrival gate to the next departure gate....I check my watch...gotta move fast...Im told the next gate is right at the end of the concourse and down the stairs, Hmmmm ok, Im on my way...It is a long walk when your in a hurry . Ok Im at the end...where are the stairs ? What..I have to go back and then down...Ohh ok....I find the stairs and find I have another bit of a walk..but I reach the gate....Now Im hungry...need more Coffee Is there a coffee shop here,,No   its Upstairs....Just my luck . !  No time to get a coffee to take onboard....Ohh whats this I see....Pueblo flight is delayed.....Im giggling now as I rushed and  could have got a coffee,,,Ok I can get one now...Ive got an hr to wait Im told...
With coffee in hand I head back down the stairs and to the gate....WHAT ......Pueblo canceled ? Ohh no,,,I ask when the next flight will be...Im told in it will be on the board soon...Ok . I will just sit here and wait....I drink my coffee, Phone Diana,,,,Ive said I will phone when Im in Pueblo and I will get a taxi from the airport.

I can see a guy at the desk, he is arguing with the Lady there...No point arguing mate...He is saying Why is the plane canceled ? Its because of maintenence I hear her reply..Hmmm , Hey mate..let them fix the plane.....GULP.   We will get there ok Im sure. I hear the Tanoy again asking for passengers on the Pueblo flight to come forwards Ohh  whats this now,,,,

Ohh a meal voucher...( I hear my stomach rumbling ) ok Thanks...Its for a meal to the value of $7. ok I can do that...I must work out this Funny Munny !! ...We are told to come back to the gate in 2 hrs...Lets go feast ...yeah right .I can get a coffee and a salad...That will keep me going for now.
Right Feast eaten....I head back to the gate...Hmmmm I wonder how many miles Ive walked today?

Lets see what it says on the board...Pueblo flight ....delayed ...again,,Why ? ok ok but for how long ? Come back in an hr, I will just wait here...I wait, and wait,,and wait...(these seats arnt very comfortable....I wait some more...OHH whats THAT I see ,,,,Pueblo flight On Time ?????? grins...we will see.  After a while we get told the flight will be boarding  soon....Not soon enough for me. YES its boarding,,,Come on folks,,dont all rush at once Im sure there is enough room for the 4 of us on this plane!

We ,,yes all 4 of us,,board the plane,,I get seated next to a window and look  out Ohh What is that doing ? Has the plane got a puncture ?

Who has the Puncture repair kit ?

Its all fixed and we can take off....

Pueblo here we come....I wonder if drinks will be served on board as its only a 45 minute flight I think. The Captain says its going to be a bumpy  flight ..,Bumpy was the right word. The view is good, I can see Mountains, The ground looks so bare...desert like

The View is beautiful, I LOVE the Mountains.

Ohh here comes the In Flight drinks

 We drink up and fasten seatbelts, Its time to land.YES, Im in Pueblo ...

I cant believe Ive actually arrived . After finding my bag that arrived before meI go outside to phone a taxi..I will phone Diana too and let her know Im in Pueblo.I think someone is waiting for me ....grins.

Dallas to Denver Part 2 .

Its time to get up, Coffee first them  I will be awake...I think  for breakfast I will have....erm....nothing...Coffee will have to do. As my bag was already checked in at the airport yesterday...I will have to make do with what Im wearing today....

After my Coffee I will  feel normal again ...

Its time to get the Shuttle back to the Airport....glad I dont have to check in any bags...I can go direct to security check in ,frisk search, bleeping machine and Smile as I bleep ...check,,,Polomints . grins Yep, Im set.....Lets hit the Airport lines again...

The shuttle gets me back to DFW airport in plenty of time...now, Ticket,,check..polomints ...check, carry on bag,,check...brain cell...Arghhhh no...Ive not got that ,,,,Ohh well, nothing new there.... Right, lets see how long it takes before I Bleep !!......

It didnt take long....Id forgotten  something was in my jeans pocket...

Ok they let me through...so I make my way to the Gate..again...Yes, I DO know which gate as I have a strange feeling I just might have been here before...feels like only Yesterday ...grins..

Ohh look, my flight is on time...hmmmm must be the weather!.

Time for....No, your wrong, I was going to the...ohh well, ok I can go later, Coffee sounds good ....grins

Im feeling good, It looks like I will get to Pueblo with no problems now...I have time for a wander about  and decide to check out the shops....Not that I can buy anything,,,(( I have over paid something along the way, taxi, hotel, not sure, not sure where either as I am $200 short..I have a feeling I may have tipped a driver  with this funny munny by mistake..I have a load of $1. folded together..ready for tips as Im not fully understanding the Tipping rates yet...I think Ive given the wrong funny munny to someone....Too late now but I will have to be Very Careful of what I spend  from now on..I still have one mode of transport to pay for and a hotel bill.

Ohh well, I can window shop ....Another of my mistakes made ....Can I get a Coffee with these coins Im carrying....Yes, I think I can...I dont want to use one of the paper funny munny ,s

  Time to Fly

Its time to wander back to the gate and Go before I go...grins..Well, I was "going" before but Coffee called ...

Yep, its almost time to board the plane...Denver here I come....I will phone Diana and let her know  Im almost there when I get to Denver... Its not a long flight, I should be there by noon I hope.

We board and take off...( ok yes, I know take off does tend to happen after boarding ...who is telling this story ???? grins )

Dallas to Denver

 After getting through Dallas Airport Security, escaping the Police ....grins .( I do like those cars though ) I make my way to the gate...yes I found the right gate...Denver here I come....then once at Denver I fly to Pueblo and get to meet  Diana. This I am looking forwards to as Diana and I have talked  on the phone so many times...I know Im early so I think a Coffee is called for....Its hard to believe that this afternoon I will be with Diana and be seeing Theo and Tigger.
 I bet Alfie wishes he was here too,!! Those Famous Surgeons ...Who knows what trouble they would bet into .

I check my watch.Im sure my flight isnt on time...I hear the tanoy...Denver flight delayed due to bad weather .Ok I can understand that..no problem, just a delay.

I decide to get something to eat...The sandwiches in US are much Bigger than in UK,, Im not a great bread eater so I will get something else ..Hmmmmm not much I fancy so I will give it a miss  and wait til I get to Denver..

A Coffee will do fine. Now, lets find a seat and see where the plane is..Ohh no, not another delay....The flight is going to be well over due..Many people are queueing up at the desk..Im not sure what for so I will just stay put until I can see the flight details.

Another tanoy announcment...Denver flight delayed...again....Where is the plane going ? Its sure not reaching Dallas.....I seem to have been here for hours...I know I have. I will go check on the flight as it looks like it isnt going to arrive anytime soon....

I hope it wont be too long  as my connecting flight will leave without me and then I wont be happy.

I ask about the flight  only to be told it wont arrive for ages ...and  when I ask about my connecting flight Im told No chance of making it
.Can I get a flight from Colorado Springs to Pueblo ? No. Hmmm ,What if I get to Denver and find a taxi.?   ..Do you know how far Pueblo is from Denver ? The lady says    its too far for a taxi, It will be very expensive. A guy in the line tells me he dosnt think It would be easy to get a taxi due to the distance. Hmmmm ok. lets think about this...So, I can get another flight to Denver tonight but no flight to Pueblo til tomorrow ?  Are park benches comfy  I wonder .....

Im told I can get tomorrows Denver flight and catch the Pueblo flight with no problem .or I can get to Denver tonight and try and find a hotel for the night there....I think it will be wiser  to stay in Dallas over night and fly out tomorrow....(and to think I was only saying to Maria how smoothly this trip was going,no wrong gates, no delays that caused problems, no missed flights...Yep, I should have kept my mouth shut !!)  Ok I settle for the hotel that the airport offer me....at no cost to THEM I find out later......Its getting late now and Im ready for some coffee , I will be back tomorrow and try again to reach Pueblo.Im going to find the Shuttle and get to the hotel then phone Diana to let her know whats going on. Im sad as I wanted to spend time with Diana  ..I was looking forwards to meeting her .

I find the Shuttle and reach the Hotel...Now Im really hungry....thirsty and I need to top up my sugar levels fast as I can feel myself getting low.
I phone Diana  and let her know what is happening and I will be in Pueblo tomorrow at about 1.30 pm...

The Hotel manager said if I want to get something to eat they will drive me there and back,,,That was a nice gesture I thought..but Ive spotted a McDonalds just aeound the corner ...Big Mac n fries will do me...

Maria calls me as Im in McDonalds, Yep, Im still in Texas..just getting a burger..no, Im not too keen on burgers but it will have to do...Im so hungry I could eat a ...erm...Burger !! What I want to Eat and what I actually get to eat are not quite the same kind of Burgers ..

I head back to the Hotel to twiddle my thumbs for the evening when my phone rings....Brr Brr Brr

It is Rhonda....She asks would I like to come back to her house for the evening....Ohh Yes Please...

We had a nice evening, chatting and drinking beer....before Im driven back to the Hotel ...

Its a nice Hotel , the room is fine, I reflect on my day...Hmmm it was interesting I guess...not what I expected but it was nice to see Rhonda Andy and their boys again, not to mention the Furry ones...

I get myself settled and make a Coffee, take a bath and sit looking out of the window...watching the night go by.....After a while ,,,well ok at about 2,30 am I decide Id better try and get some sleep, I think I slept ok ...I dont remember as I was asleep  ....grins ..
